Etienne Allemeersch
(1926-2002)

Étienne Allemeersch is a Belgian artist born in Ghent in 1926. After his studies in chemistry at the university, he explored the technical aspects of new materials that emerged in the 1950s, such as resin. For a few years, he collaborated with Ado Chale, creating numerous resin tables incorporating marble or bone stones. His work, characterized by its quality of craftsmanship, sets him apart from his colleagues. He passed away in 2002.
